A Port Rowan Summer Day at the Lake

Here is a step by step of an oil painting I recently finished.
Painting a picnic scene in the middle of winter, with snow on the ground, reminds me of days gone by when a short drive and quiet reflections were a high priority. Definitely will be doing this again once warmer weather arrives :)
This is a picture of a couple of children playing at the water's edge, with the Port Rowan Lighthouse in the distance and a picnic in the foreground.
Port Rowan is a lovely community that I'd like to visit more often :)
